Pre-clinical laboratory is equipped with different instrument and mannequin related to the nursing procedure and practice for experimental work, pre-clinical lab is well equipped with models, instruments, specimens and subject related all charts.
MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING LAB
Medical Surgical Nursing lab is designed to assist student in developing expertise and in depth knowledge in the field of medical surgical nursing. Nursing is an art and science that needs a lot of practice. Medical surgical nursing lab. is the practical area of the students, where they perform all nursing procedures prior to the exposure to the clinical field. Medical surgical lab aims at making students proficient in assessing and caring for adult patients suffering from various medical surgical disorders.
COMPUTER LAB
The computer lab has advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software which cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum. Its information technology based learning solutions, multimedia experiences, e-resources and high speed internet connectivity. The college is equipped with a dedicated broadband internet connection for enterprising students get a chance to be familiar with the internet. They do comprehensive research for their projects and presentations.
NUTRITION LAB
Nutrition laboratory is well equipped and furnished with cookery items, gas stoves, microwave oven, cooking utensils, crockery items, serving utensils, refrigerator, water purifier, dining table with chairs, table mats etc. It is well ventilated and spacious with proper water supply and drain system. It consists of various charts showing calorie requirements, food exchange system, categories of food and therapeutic diets. It allows students to learn regarding nutritional needs of various age groups and during various disease conditions with use of calorie calculation exchange charts.
COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING LAB
The community health nursing laboratory is equipped with community bags and articles for performing various procedures such as screening of diseases and care of minor ailments in urban and rural communities. The laboratory consist of models like ideal village, methods of water purification etc. Family folders for home visits are maintained in the laboratory. The audio visual aids including puppets, charts, flash cards, posters, pamphlets, video player etc. from the laboratory are utilized by the students to conduct school health programs, mass health education programs and other public awareness programs.
OBSTETRIC AND GYENAECOLOGICAL LAB
OBG lab is well equipped to cater the needs of nursing students and help them to practice different procedures. it has various simulation aids such as delivery model pelvis, fetal skull , instruments , maternal pelvis, forceps, dummies for mechanism of labour, models for normal and abnormal labor mechanism , flowcharts of obstetrical care and principles and charts to provide them to practice. regular pre-clinical demonstrations and return demonstrations are scheduled for the students.
CHILD HEALTH LABORATORY
Child Health Laboratory provides comprehensive knowledge and it focuses on training of all the essential skills required to work and perform as Paediatric Nurse. A well-equipped skill laboratory create highly stimulating environment to enhance knowledge transfer process regarding clinical procedures. Laboratory has baby cradles, Paediatric CPR manikin, paediatric procedure manikin with all orifices, ostomy care manikin, artificial feeding manikin, Paediatric injection training manikin, infant meter, digital weighing machine, oxygen hood, and nebulizer, toys and play material for various age groups. There is separate area for teaching neonatal assessment, growth and development assessment , baby bath, play therapy area.
MENTAL HEALTH NURSING LAB
The laboratory makes the students to learn modern approach to mental health, identification, prevention and management of common mental health problems with special emphasis on therapeutic intervention for individual, family and community. This laboratory is equipped with prepared models related to mental health and illness, various models, flash cards; flipcharts are also available for enhancement of learning.
